In the period 2020-2021 a feasibility study was conducted with the beta-version of the Beyond Animal Testing Index with three voluntary organization (universities and university medical centres). This Pilot was carried out as an assignment for the Dutch ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV). This beta-version  will further be developed into a Beyond Animal Testing Index 1.0

The results of the pilot were presented during the ‘11th World Congress on Alternatives and Animal Use in the Life Sciences’ in August 2021 in Maastricht. Additionally, the findings and recommendations will be published in a scientific article.
